Anne C. Sieling, Artist


Anne Cooper Sieling has painted in pastels and oils off and on most of her adult life. At age 65 she decided to devote herself to learning as much as possible about fine art and representational art in particular, and began formal art education with artists including Mary Arthur, Bonnie Roth Anderson, Margaret Dyer, Carolyn Anderson, Valerie Craig, Nancy Tankersley, Lee Boynton, William Schneider , Ken Cosgrove and Ruth Curtis. She is currently studying with Palden Hamilton and Hai Ou Hou at the Chesapeake Fine Art Center. Anne is a Signature Member of the Maryland Pastel Society, the Maryland Society of Portrait Painters, the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Society, and the Maryland Federation of the Arts. She continues to paint and to study, utilizing the resources provided by membership and classes at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Annapolis, Maryland , the Easton Studio School in Easton, Maryland and the  Chesapeake Fine Art Studio.  Some examples of her artwork are on the following page.
